Ready for 2018 Weddings

Another year begins and i can wait to get started with my 2018 weddings. Last year was certainly a busy one; with some great weddings and couples. I was also involved with some filming for a tv show which will show on channel 4 this winter. As far as i know its going to be called ‘Hitched in the Sun’.  its basically about wedding planners and what they do here to organise the wedding day. the couples are also involved as their weddings are filmed as are they. its a day time show so will be family friendly and i hope entertaining and good viewing. I must say i did pile on some kilos last year (all those wedding buffet), so i am a bit nervous of seeing myself on tv.  On the back of how well the show is viewed and ratings, there may be a season 2, so I really hope I can get some on my brides and grooms that are marrying this year to get on board and have their weddings televised.  Its all rather exciting and there is lots to look forward to this wedding season. Needless to say the diet has began and lots of new year resolutions started.

 

Looking back on some fabulous weddings last year. Thanks to all you wonderful couples that booked me to organise your big day. Its always an honor and I thank you for booking me.

From start to finish the service  Stella Virdi provided was amazing.

Stella was recommended to me by one of my customers and from the first email I instantly felt at ease and knew Stella was the right person to help plan our special day.

We flew to Cyprus in 2014 still not having any idea of a venue. Stella picked us up from our hotel, (it was lovely to finally meet her after all the emails) and spent the whole day taking us to lots of different venues that we had shortlisted.  She also took us to Love Island Cakes for a tasting session and offered to take me to the florist and hairdressers if I felt I needed to meet them.

We decided to marry at Minthis Hills (Stellas recommendation when I originally told her what kind of wedding I wanted) and throughout the whole booking process and year of planning Stella never let me down. Instant replies to emails, spreadsheets detailing everything clearly  made and just having absolutely everything under control.

As if Stella hadn’t done enough for us, on the morning of our wedding, 30th May 2015, we woke to rain, and not just showers, pouring rain! Unfortunately due to the rain we couldn’t get married outside where originally planned. Well, within under one hour Stella had the whole thing rearranged. She managed to get us a church for that afternoon, arrange a singer, change all transport and flowers and basically solve every problem that had confronted us. AMAZING! If it wasn’t for Stella I don’t think we would have ended up getting married on that day as there was no other option.

So if that isn’t enough to make you realise that Stella is the best wedding planner in Cyprus I don’t know what is. Not only is she fabulous at what she does, she is a lovely, kind hearted lady who constantly put me and my other half at ease. Nothing was too much trouble, at any time.

We will be back to Paphos next May to celebrate our first anniversary, hopefully without the rain this time, and cannot wait to meet up with Stella again.

We are so pleased to have come across Stella Virdi  as our Wedding Planner, she is so organised and for this reason the day itself and the leading up to the day all fell nicely into place. Stella took charge of all the preperations as we would expect her to do and looked after all of us on the wedding day. Stella has great relationships with her Suppliers, makeup, hair, flowers etc. We got on really well with Stella and felt so relaxed with her, I would have no hesitation in recommending Stella to future brides.

For the decorator Sherie

We had an idea in mind for decorations on our wedding day and Sherie was great she understood our desired effect however she also asked if it would be OK to add her own ideas, I  advised I would be more than happy to leave her to it, shes the expert! The effect we had was a contract of Shabby Chic / Vintage during the ceremony such as flowers, hearts and lanterns with a contemporary / modern twist during the reception meal of glass and lots of candles, we were so pleased with how the decorations came out, thank you so much Sherie!

For the Hair-Dresser  Maria

I was really pleased with the way Maria completed all our hair styles and so quickly! Seven of us had our hair worked on, my self, three bridesmaids and three guests and within under two hours they were all complete! Maria was friendly, professional and she did exactly what I had showed her in the pictures, stunning! Thank you again Maria.

For the Make-up Artist –  Danielle

I was aiming for flawless, radiant and natural makeup and thats exactly what I got! I was very dubious initially about having my makeup done for me, I have always been used to doing my own, I therefore was intending to make myself up on the wedding day however decided against it and am so glad I did, I would suggest a bride has her makeup done for her on her special day. You advise Danielle exactly what you would like to achieve and Danielle understands, having makeup also done for you shows amazingly well for the photos, I am so pleased with the way it turned out, I felt so pretty on my wedding day! Thank you again.

I hope that I haven’t missed anyone out;, thank you all once again, you were great Stella!

Hopefully be able to meet up with you when we come back in 2016!
