My now ‘husband’ and I travelled out to Cyprus in December 2014 to try and find the perfect location for our wedding. We came home disheartened as we couldn’t find the right place which ticked all of our boxes. Thankfully after searching online, I came across Stella and her website and saw pictures of a venue which I had not come across before. I immediately called and spoke with Stella and explained exactly what we were looking for. As my father is Cypriot I wanted to incorporate some Cyprus traditions into a ‘English style’ wedding. As soon as I spoke with Stella I knew that she understood what we were trying to achieve and the fact that her son had recently got married at the venue we were looking at pretty much made my mind up that we couldn’t go wrong with the venue. Within a few days of speaking with Stella the venue was booked, which for us was a big step, as we wouldn’t usually book something without having seen it in person.
I have to say that Minthis Hills was an absolutely stunning location for our wedding. The old monastery set within a courtyard is beautiful and the scenery of hills and trees is breath-taking. This mixed in with a modern clubhouse for the wedding reception created the perfect wedding venue for us. Our guests were all amazed with the venue and each and every one of them complimented on what a wonderful day they had, they are still talking about it now!!
Our perfect day would not have been possible without Stella. She really does an amazing job, from recommending the top suppliers and keeping on top of them once booked to organising the finer details such as legal docs which we would not have had the faintest clue about! She takes the stress away, you really can rely on Stella and be comfortable that she will get things done. She is definitely not afraid to keep everyone in check to make sure the day runs smoothly! It was great to know that she was there throughout day should any issue arise (and to hold the essentials that I couldn’t fit in my bag such as hairspray and make-up!) but it was also lovely to have her be part of our day, the little touch in large confetti cannons that she gave to our guests was a lovely surprise and made for some great photos!
A special mention also to Andrea and Paris for producing such beautiful flowers, the courtyard was like a dream when I walked into it, I couldn’t have wished for anything more. The reception venue was equally as beautiful, it was created just how I had hoped it would be. So a huge thank you to them also!
If you are looking for a musician for your cocktail ceremony then we would really recommend Kirsty Dewar as she is an amazing artist and a really lovely lady. We could have listened to her singing and playing the guitar all night.
We can’t finish without also mentioning Natalie and the staff at Minthis Hills who ensured that our guests were happy, they couldn’t have done any more if they had tried, the service was exceptional!
Stella – Thank you so much for your help leading up to and on the wedding day itself. It really was perfect in every way, we are so glad that we chose Minthis Hills for our venue. If we had one wish it would be to do it all over again!! x
